Arbeitsgruppe RIZ-Foodborne Zoonoses
The Foodborne Zoonoses group in RIZ combines different research areas dealing with food safety and food quality. Research projects mainly focus on zoonotic pathogens that potentially occur along the food production chain and represent significant risks for public health. This includes epidemiological studies on their occurrence, development of new mainly molecular detection assays, and development of prevention strategies and novel conservation technologies along the food production chain.
